Sa Calabra

Medium around 100km
Challenging
Climbing
Approx 100 km out and back from Port Pollensa
This is the absolute bucket list trip of any cycling trip. It is challenging with two big climbs no matter what route you take. You first climb up Coll de Femenia out side Pollensa to get up into the mountains. There follows an absolutely stunning 15km of rolling roads to the aqueduct and the start of the 3 km Coll de Reiss. From there you have a 14 km descent to the old fishing village of Sa Calabra. And then you have to do that in reverse!!
The ride is long but manageable for riders of medium and stronger abilities and you can stop of refreshments at Sa Calabra itself, Lluc and the oranageman at the aqueduct.

Easy to challenge
Mallorca has a host of picturesque and historic towns and villages to explore. A spin like this can be as long or short as you like. The Mallorca culture supports local cafes and restaurants so every square is a delightful stop for coffee and cake, and an opportunity to watch the world go by.  Some of most delightful towns to stop off are Binissalem, Costitx, Campanet, Alaro and Bunoyla. You can find out about thier past including the Moor's and the Catalan Christians, and their more recent history.

Coll d’Honor y Orient
Distance 110km
Challenging
Flat and climbing
This is one of the more iconic spins to tackle. First of all you ride on the flat out across the middle of the island to Santa Maria. Then you gradually start to climb up to Bunoyla and then you find yourself climbing one of the moist beautiful climbs on the island, Coll d'Honor. This road is especially enjoyable as it was only resurfaced in 2026 and resembles a billiard table. Then along the valley and a small climb (from this side) up to Coll d'Orient and a spectacular descent down to Alaro. After that you have the choice of a flat or rolling return along the Tramuntana fooothils.

Monasteries
Distance is variable 40 km plus
Easy to challenging

Some to a lot of climbing
You frequently hear the shout "I did the monastery ride". Actually there are monasteries on top of most hills on the island so you have a great choice to pick from. Some are distant such as San Salvadore or Porreas so a trip to them is a long day. Some are close to Port Pollensa such as Ermita to Santa Llucia (Mancor de la Vall) or Santa Margalida (Inca) but visiting some is a must as the view they command are truly well worth it.
Distance is what you want

This is a long day out. It is a great way to see the island as you travel almost to the south coast. After spassing through dome gorgeous villages you climb up past the village of Randa to Ermita de Cura where you have a spectacular view of the sea, Palma airport and the centre of the island. After a stylish stop for coffee and photos then a rapid descent accelerates you as you cross back through the island with options to stop for lunch and afternoon coffee.
